Welcome from Jack & Linda
It is with great joy that we announce that our opening date for the 2024 season will be Monday, June 3rd.
Once again visitors will be asked to book ahead for either a 10am or 1:30 pm tour. That will be our daily
pattern from then until the end of the season (Oct. 19th) except for Sunday when we are closed. Please note, if no tours are booked we will take the day off as a well-earned rest.
Is this the last summer we will be open? It is no secret that both Linda and Jack have encountered health challenges over recent years.
Whether or not we continue past this year will depend upon the state of Linda's lungs and Jack's eyes. What we can promise is that we will offer you the best tour we can this year. You will leave with memories
that will linger for years and photo-op pictures that will delight your family and friends. We look forward to welcoming you and your family.
More than 5 years ago a senior CBC TV producer called our museum one ofthe very best after visiting other L.M. Montgomery Museums across Canada. (you can click on a link to her tribute to the right of this column).

32nd ANNIVERSARY
OF BALA'S MUSEUM
Last summer we celebrated the 31st anniversary of our museum and the 100th anniversary of Lucy Maud Montgomery bringing her family to Bala for a two-week holiday. It seemed incredible then that more than 129,000 visitors have come through our doors since we opened on July 24th, 1992. The story of how this all started with our honeymoon in Prince Edward Island in 1990 has been shared by CBC national television, CTV and Global News and the Toronto dailies.
